In this video from WordJack’s how-to series for eCommerce websites, we’ll walk you through the process for creating coupons. This will work for any WordJack client website with eCommerce functionality and is also relevant to any business that uses WooCommerce plugin on their WordPress website.
Using coupons on your eCommerce website is useful for many reasons. Saving money is a huge priority for almost everyone these days. Therefore, customers are much more likely to purchase from your website (and will often spend more money than they originally intended) if you offer a coupon code to help them save.
Adding coupons to your eCommerce site is actually really simple. Check out this tutorial video to learn the process:
Here’s a basic rundown:
- Go to your website, add “/wp-admin” to the end of the URL & log in
- In your dashboard, go to WooCommerce and click on “Coupons”
- Click “Add Coupon”
- Enter a short, simple coupon code & description
- Select the type & amount of discount, expiration date, and other purchase restrictions
- Click “Publish” to activate the coupon
You can easily manage your coupons and make changes to them as needed through the WooCommerce dashboard.
Of course, if no one knows about your coupon, it won’t do you any good, so don’t forget to promote your coupon through email marketing, social media, etc.
