We’re happy to announce we have added another Marketing Manager to the WordJack team, Leanne Friar! We recently did a little “interview” with Leanne to get to know her better, and we’re excited to tell you more about her and what she brings to WordJack.
What’s your favorite part about working for WordJack so far?
It’s great coming into work each day and interacting with a diverse portfolio of clients! Learning about different industries and applying the online strategies that work best for the goals of each business allows for a lot of creativity.
What led you to join our team? (What is your professional background up to this point?)
Working within the marketing industry for the last 10 years on the agency side of brand marketing, the importance of online marketing became progressively more apparent to me. Small businesses and global clients alike have found online marketing a growing part of their business strategy, and I wanted to get more involved in this industry.
If you could tell your clients one thing, what would it be?
Having an online presence in today’s tech-savvy world is a very important part of any business plan. Understanding where your customers are looking for your business online and how to best communicate with them helps determine where to focus your web marketing efforts to best reach your goals.
What do you find most interesting about web marketing and working in this industry?
Operating within the ever-changing landscape of online marketing keeps things interesting! There are always new platforms and strategies for reaching your online goals. Being able to monitor the results through analytics allows you to see what’s working the best and update your tactics quickly.
Outside of work, what are some of your interests/hobbies?
I’ve got a serious case of wanderlust — traveling (or dreaming of traveling) to new places is one of my favourite things. Hiking, staying at the cottage, and snowboarding are also top contenders!
Is there anything else we should know about you?
Managing deadlines, coordinating multiple moving pieces, and building relationships guide my work. I’ve found them all to be extremely important when it comes to achieving results.
