It is always a pleasure to introduce a new marketing manager to our growing team of professionals here at WordJack. We are pleased to welcome Delaney Morris, as we are confident that she is going to be a huge asset to our company and to her clients in the days, weeks, months, and years ahead! We caught up with her a little while ago and asked her a few questions so that everyone could get to know her a bit better. Here are her responses.
What made you interested in web marketing?
My work career began just as digital marketing was inevitably taking hold and forcing print media to take a back seat. Having studied Fine Art at Queens’ University in Kingston, ON, I have always been interested in art and print media and find that this interest keeps me looking through a creative lens with most everything I do in web marketing.
What is your professional experience and background?
While my work experience is quite varied, dabbling in quite a few trades, much of it took place in a resort setting, which was so valuable in learning to communicate well with all types of individuals. Working in a resort setting also allowed me the opportunity for continuous learning in many different areas. I like to think of myself as a “jack-of-all-trades”.
What do you like most about what you do?
I like how satisfying it is to get results for my clients and help them realize their marketing goals. When I know the work that I’ve done has had a direct and positive impact for my clients, it genuinely makes my day.
What do you like most about WordJack?
It’s a team of fantastic people who care very much for their clients and each other. That is the kind of environment I’m happy to be in each day!
What is the best advice you can give small businesses for improving their online presence?
I think there are so many tactics and options for small business owners to be successful in the digital world that it is overwhelming and sometimes distracting from the most important thing: knowing what you want out of your web presence. If you are unclear about what you want prospective clients to do, they won’t know what to do either.
What is your strong suit when it comes to assisting your clients?
I think my clients can expect to find that I am an excellent listener and will work hard to genuinely find out what it is they may need. Though I will always be eager and excited to share my ideas, ultimately listening will convey to my clients that I am invested in their success and will deliver the outcome they are looking for.
What are some of your interests/hobbies outside of work? Any you’d like to start?
I have quite a few hobbies and pastime activities. Around the winter months specifically, skiing is definitely my favourite thing to do! I just love everything about it: the speed, the sensation of flying down a mountain, the camaraderie with other skiers, and of course the Après! This summer I went skydiving a couple of times! I would love to continue to learn more about the sport and hopefully get in a few more jumps next summer!
Is there anything else you’d like to share with your WordJack team and clients?
I’m so thankful to be a part of this great team!
Welcome to the WordJack team, Delaney! We are happy you have joined us, and we are certain that your clients are too!
